This is what it means to be Greek and proud! As it seems I was the only one playing Bouzouki at the Greek independence Day parade in NYC. I was also the only one that I know in history to carry a battery powered amp on his back and march two miles playing bouzouki. I came to the parade not knowing what to expect. I bumped into some friends who helped me by singing the songs of our culture and islands.

I'm not asking myself if I'd do it again. My shoulder hurt afterwards and it was a sign for me to go back to the gym. However next year it's just going to get better with more Bouzoukia. May I not be the only Bouzouki player marching in the Greek independence Day parade for here on out.

No edits, No Filters, One Take. This is Yiannaki, he learned this song by himself all I did was guide him with the knowledge of the scales. I taught him harmony today and here he is playing secondo otherwise known and the harmony or second bouzouki. Not the easiest thing to figure out but with practice of the scales anything is possible.
